Who can join NYSW Inc.?
Any woman or man who supports our mission to achieve equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy, education and information is encouraged to join. We do not limit membership based on sex, race, national origin, religion or disability.
What professions are represented among the NYSW Inc. membership?
Diversity is the key to our success. Our members come from many places and many professions. You'll find professional women involved in financial advising, real estate, grant writing, computer software support, management, banquet management, college advising - as well as a rich collection of business entrepreneurs and retired but very active community volunteers.
When are the Greater Binghamton Chapter meetings?
General Membership meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month from September - June and begin at 6:00 p.m.
What happens at a typical Greater Binghamton Chapter meeting?
Social Time is held from 5:30 PM to 6 PM The meeting is opened at 6PM with the recitation of our organization's collect and the Pledge of Allegiance. Dinner follows with a guest speaker and the business of the chapter.
How can I get involved once I join NYSW Inc.?
There are many committees to choose from, including, Education, Finance and Publicity. Each committee meets from time to time throughout the year. We are a forward-looking organization and members are encouraged to bring ideas for continuous growth and focus on current issues that affect women in the workplace.
What is the cost of membership for the Greater Binghamton Chapter?
The annual dues are only $50 per year.
